VP, Program Manager
Vanessa Nazario was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Trenton, NJ. She has worked in the field of Community Development for over 20 years. Her career began at MECHA, a Hispanic based nonprofit organization providing home ownership training and counseling to low-to-moderate income families. In 1996, she joined PNC Bank and has worked in several roles within the Community Development Banking Department; she currently manages programs that promote both homeownership and financial stability for low/moderate income households. In addition to her current position, she has been engaged in diversity and inclusion initiatives for over 8 years. Vanessa also volunteers on several nonprofit boards: American Conference on Diversity, Dress for Success-Mercer County, as the EVP of Prospanica NJ Chapter, and as the Tri-State Diversity Council-Community Partnership Chair.
Vanessa received her MBA from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ and also has Master of Science degree from Southern New Hampshire University with a concentration Community Economic Development. She has a Non Profit Management Certificate from Seton Hall University and completed credentials to become a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE) from the Institute for Diversity Certification. Moreover, Vanessa is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration. Lastly, she’s received several awards for her work and accomplishments, including the Hispanic Association of Corporate Responsibility (HACR) award and PNC Diversity & Inclusion Chapter Champion award.
