Robina Singh is a National Director at Ascend. Working in close collaboration with the board of directors, she heads national events programming, leads national membership operations, provides strategic and operational leadership to professional and student chapters, and manages a number of key corporate partnerships. She joined the National Association of Asian MBAs (NAAMBA) in 2010 and helped launch it as a non-profit organization. NAAMBA became part of Ascend in 2013.
Prior to venturing into the nonprofit world, Robina worked at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters as a Program Officer for the International Labor Organization (ILO) and was part of the delegation representing the organization at the General Assembly, Security Council and several other high-level meetings.
Her passions include coaching students and young professionals, and advising mission-based nonprofits. She is a board member-at-large for the Westchester Chapter of UN Association of USA.
Growing up in India, she was trained in the sport of competitive badminton and had the tremendous honor of winning several district-level championships. She resides in Westchester County, NY with her beloved pet guinea pigs and is deeply committed to the welfare of animals.
She holds a master’s degree in international affairs and a bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology.
