Mr. Huerta is a seasoned executive with decades of senior level management experience. He has held senior management positions in a variety of industries including Mining, Entertainment, Security and Commodity Trading, Trade Finance, Intellectual Property, Strategic Business Consulting and Multicultural Market Research. This experience together with his academic foundation in finance and management has provided him with a broad understanding of corporate structures and operations

His accomplishments range from launching companies uniquely positioned for success to operating turn-around situations for investor groups.  In the 90’s, he was an intricate member of a team that established a Trade Finance and Commodity Trading unit for Lloyds Bank PLC. This unit went on to be the most successful of its kind in the U.S. with over $250 Million in assets and $7 Million in profits in the first quarter of operations. During the same period, he was directly accredited for the recovery of two publicly traded companies, one in the commodity trading industry and the other in the tech transfer/intellectual property sector.

Currently Mr. Huerta is the Managing Partner of The Nessa Group Inc.; a New York based Strategic Business Consulting Firm, which provides its clients with services which include Capital Growth Strategies, Finance, Intellectual Property, Operations and Human Capital. The firm has become one of the best-known consulting/advisory firms in the Northeast focusing on Small, Medium Size Enterprises. His leadership has created and supported the Nessa Group’s tag line as being a prominent consulting firm by “Building Better Business Solutions”. 

His public and academic sector commitments include, Commissioner of Economic Development & Urban Redevelopment Commissions City of Stamford CT; Team member of Innovating Stamford which was in 2017 awarded by the State as the leading city for business development; mentorship programs at Columbia University, UCONN, Startupalooza and 1 Million Cups.  He is also a board member on the Stamford Partnership which directs Public, Private Partnerships in projects in the City of Stamford, CT.

Mr. Huerta is a highly regarded expert in organizing global management teams. His academic and professional career has focused on the development of organizational corporate structures that can deliver improved results.  His specialty is in designing and directing fully functional management teams guided by his experience and achievements in Interdisciplinary communications. 

In addition to his professional commitments, he has been an Executive Member of the National Society of Hispanic MBA (NSHMBA) now known as Prospanica since 2000. He has held numerous board positions at the New York Chapter level and Mr.  Huerta served as the President of the New York Chapter from 2006 to 2008; Chair of the New York Advisory Board and the National Consultant; Business Development Executive for the Business Journal of Hispanic Research (BJHR), published by NSHMBA. During his term as President, Mr. Huerta advocated a grass roots outreach program to guide and mentor young Hispanics to encourage them to continue their education. Through his efforts, NSHMBA New York established closer relations with Junior Achievement and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, which are High School focused organizations. He also strongly encourages long standing, but currently less involved NSHMBA members to participate more fully in mentoring and inspiring young Latinos.

Mr. Huerta served in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command. He is fluent in Spanish and of Cuban descent. He earned his BBA from Baruch College and his MBA from the University of New Haven.
