Lead Manufacturing Project Manager
Guillermo came to Houston 22 years ago from Michoacan, Mexico, and is the oldest of four. Guillermo is a first generation college graduate and holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering and Technology with a minor in Mathematics from Texas Southern University, as well as a Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from the University of St. Thomas-Houston. In addition, Guillermo has been a licensed Professional Project Manager (PMP) since 2012.
Guillermo is currently a Lead Manufacturing Project Manager with the Reciprocating Compression group of the Downstream Technology Division of GE Oil and Gas. Guillermo executes projects ranging from New Product Introduction, New Equipment Orders, Upgrades/Services and Special Projects, all of which involve project teams and customers globally.
In addition to his current role with GE, Guillermo has held multiple non-profit board positions, including Membership Director of the Houston Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA), now Prospanica, and Scholarship Coordinator for the local Houston Professional Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE). Mr. Suarez is passionate about helping people in need and plans to pursue a Doctorate with a thesis focusing on Sustainable Energy Development, specifically in developing countries in the future.
