The Danto Group
Al Danto brings a unique perspective of real world experience and case studies to his academic teachings. He has over 30 years of experience starting, growing, acquiring and exiting businesses in a wide range of industries. His grew his first company by acquiring 12 printing companies and integrated them into one location. The company was recognized as the 145th fastest growing business in the country by Inc. Magazine and was acquired by a private equity company. Al completed his MBA at Rice University, and, while a student, started Universal Worker, an international healthcare staffing company that grew to be a recognized leader in the industry.
After exiting Universal Worker, he started a consulting firm that provides business valuation and advisory services to buyers and sellers of privately held companies. He and his partners also make investments in startup and growing companies with a focus on the entrepreneur not the industry.
Al started speaking to MBA classes in 2001 as a guest lecturer and started teaching the New Enterprise and Entrepreneurship through Acquisition classes on his own in 2012. He was a founding member of the Houston Entrepreneurs organization and has served on a number of boards for both profit and non-profit organizations.
